“It’s not very sexy”: Jean-Jacques Goldman puts Céline Dion back in his place

Several testimonies on Gérard Depardieu

Gérard Depardieu is under investigation for rape and sexual assault, but since the broadcast of  Complément d’enquête  on France 2, his image has taken another hit, particularly for his comments towards a young minor. Around fifty personalities have signed a column to support him. Among them, his friend Pierre Richard, who has just confided in the latest  Asterix and Obelix,  and with whom he has made several films including  The Goat  and  The Fugitives . The latter has lost a prestigious title: ”  Because we are and will always be on the side of the victims and because this column is indecent, Pierre Richard is no longer one of the ambassadors of the association Les Papillons  “, announced Laurent Boyer, the president of the association Les Papillons of which the actor was the ambassador.

Emmanuel Macron, for his part, spoke of “a manhunt”: “There is one thing you will never see me in, and that is manhunts. I hate that,” explained the head of state, which made many observers grind their teeth. “Gérard Depardieu made France, our great authors, our great figures known throughout the world. He makes France proud,” he added, specifying that we must trust in justice and respect the presumption of innocence. When this whole affair came to light, Gérard Depardieu published an open letter in Le Figaro: “I finally want to tell you my truth. Never, ever have I abused a woman. Hurting a woman would be like kicking my own mother in the womb.”

Fabienne Carat cash on Gérard Depardieu’s behavior

Many women have accused Gérard Depardieu of harassment. Emmanuelle Debever, an actress in the 1983 film  Danton  , posted this message on Facebook in 2019: ”  He allowed himself to do many things during this shoot, slipping his big paw under my skirts  .” Nathalie Baye and Carole Bouquet came to his defense. ”  I am a feminist, but there is a media tribunal that has been set up. Gérard is incapable of hurting a woman  ,” said the latter, who shared her life in  Quotidien .

Recently, actress Fabienne Carat spoke out on the subject. The actress who played the role of Samia Nassri in Plus belle la vie for many years confided about her experience filming alongside Gérard Depardieu. “I filmed a long time ago alongside him in a sequence of the film “36, Quai des Orfèvres”. Personally, I had no problem with him,” she confided to Télé Magazine. “Generally speaking, I have a lot of instinct. Every time in my career there was a situation that could lead me into minefields, I left, even if it meant losing roles,” she continued. “We miss things, that’s for sure, but we save face. I happened to suffer psychological abuse on a film set. Today, I wouldn’t let it happen again. I’m no longer prey.” Fabienne Carat therefore seems to have nothing to reproach Depardieu for.

“I do…”: Léa Salamé’s minimal sports routine

"Sport is not my area of expertise"This Monday, July 22, a few days before the launch of her talk show dedicated to the Paris Olympic Games, Léa Salamé confided in us about her sports routine. And the least we can say is that it is minimal.

More than ever, France is donning its sportswear. In a few days, this Friday, July 26, the Summer Olympics will begin in Paris. And against all expectations, France Télévisions has entrusted Léa Salamé with the helm of a daily show dedicated to this event. A surprise, since, by her own admission, she is not a big sports fan. “Sport is not my favorite field, even if I follow the major sports competitions with my family,” she confided in the columns of Télé 7 Jours this Monday, July 22.

Léa Salamé’s assets

But it was unimaginable to refuse such an honor. And even if it will be a question of returning to the highlights of the day and receiving the medalists, Léa Salamé has two aces up her sleeve. First, the fact of excelling at presenting a talk show, as proven by the two seasons of Quelle époque. As well as her co-presenter, Laurent Luyat.

Léa Salamé, an expert on… the Manchester City team

”  Laurent’s presence reassures me, as does that of Paul de Saint Sernin, who worked for the L’Équipe channel ,” she confirms. And to add to it to  La Tribune on Sunday  : ”  On Laurent Luyat’s scale, I’m useless , I grant you! I’ll even play it on air.  ” However, she assures us: she is not as new as one might think.

”  I’ve always loved watching major sporting events, including the Olympics. And then all my lovers have been sports addicts. At home, my partner [Raphaël Glucksmann, editor’s note], my 7-year-old son and my 12-year-old stepson only talk about it. It takes up all our family lunches.  Now, if you want, I can tell you the typical Manchester City team! ” she swears.

What sport does Léa Salamé practice?

What about her sports practice? Léa Salamé admits that she is not the most athletic presenter on PAF. Nevertheless, she probably does more than many of us. “I do Pilates twice a week. It’s not a lot, but it’s better than nothing…”, she rightly believes. Besides, her new sidekick doesn’t practice any more. On the contrary. “I try to walk a little bit,” he simply says. And to admit: “It’s not very glorious. Sportingly speaking, I don’t think I deserve a medal.” And after all, that’s not really what we ask of them.

Especially since ”  Quelles Jeux will not only be a sports program ,” promises Léa Salamé. ”  In the evening, in this late show, we will offer a more societal perspective. We will of course welcome athletes, but also artists and politicians with whom we will relive in images all the highlights of the day. The idea is to marry, during the Games, the Quelle Époque program with the sports department of France Télévisions ,” she explains by way of conclusion. There is no doubt that, one way or another, she will get her jersey wet during these fifteen days of competition.
