- Baking Soda
Baking soda not only helps get rid of mold, but it also dries out and deodorizes the area. Dissolve a small amount of baking soda in water, then spray the solution on the area before scrubbing and rinsing.
- Dish Soap
If you are treating a non-porous surface or area, a combination of warm water and liquid dish soap will remove mold.
- Distilled Vinegar
Is there anything distilled vinegar can’t do?! Simply spray a little vinegar on the affected area, then let it sit for about an hour. When the time is up, wipe it down and rinse thoroughly.
Remember, when getting rid of mold yourself, you should always wear rubber gloves and a face mask. You want to avoid getting mold spores on your skin, and you especially want to avoid breathing in the spores, as this can cause many mold-related illnesses.
