Priscilla married a divorced man with a son and did her best to be a good mother-in-law. However, he hated her for a particular reason and decided to do something horrible when she got old. That’s when a nursing home had to step in.
“You can’t do this to me, Kenji. I’ve lived in this house for many years,” Priscilla pleaded with her stepson, Kenji, over the phone. But the young man refused her pleas.
“I don’t care. Get out of my house because I’m going to sell it or do something else. But I don’t want you in my house,” he spat at her.
“But I’m 75. I live on a shoestring budget. Where am I going to go?” she asked, her emotions surfacing.
“Listen to me, Priscilla. I DON’T CARE!” he yelled, hanging up abruptly.
Picking up the phone from her ear, Priscilla couldn’t help but start crying. After all these years, her stepson still resented her… for something she had never done.

Decades ago, Priscilla married Oliver, who was divorced and raising his 11-year-old son, Kenji, on his own. The boy made it clear right away that he wasn’t happy with the relationship. Yet Priscilla and Oliver had fallen head over heels in love and wanted to stay together.
Kenji never liked Priscilla, mainly because he thought she was the reason Oliver and Kenji’s mother Marianne broke up. He also blamed Priscilla for the fact that his mother never visited him. This wasn’t true, but the boy never believed them.
Despite his hatred for Priscilla, she does her best to be a good stepmother to him. Kenji still refused her attention and affection and left home at 18, only contacting his father occasionally. He didn’t even come to family gatherings because he didn’t want to see Priscilla.
