“Welcome to our home”: Jean Reno proudly unveils his incredible architect-designed villa but announces that he will stop…

Jean Reno, a 75-year-old actor, has taken refuge in a true haven of peace. A house in which he wants to end his days…

The homes of big stars are the stuff of dreams for most people… It must be said that some public figures have managed to build up a nice real estate portfolio. Starting with Johnny Hallyday, who, in addition to his villa in Marnes-la-Coquette, left other properties between France and the Atlantic. Like his house in Creuse, left abandoned. A house that Laeticia Hallyday’s late husband had bought with Nathalie Baye, at the time. It is a 100 m² family home, now derelict, because it is tinged with too many painful memories. Other stars of the French audiovisual landscape also have homes that would make anyone green with envy… Like, for example, Jean Reno. The actor who plays Léon in the eponymous film by Luc Besson has been living in the south of France for some time now. And it is in a Provençal village that he has decided to end his days. Here is a preview…

A Provencal house in an atypical village

Just like Karine Le Marchand, Jean Reno’s love for Provence is not new. In fact, the actor has lived there since 1989, when he became known in Le  Grand Bleu . It is therefore in this haven of peace that is Baux-de-Provence, a medieval village, that he has set down his suitcases. And he is not a little proud of it. Jade Hallyday’s godfather told France Bleu in 2020:  “Les Baux is great, it’s a place that made me better, I listened, I understood, I looked, and many people here helped me live” . It is clear that he is very involved in his region, even becoming a municipal councilor in charge of major events in his village of 5,000 inhabitants. He also practices olive growing, investing in  “a small tractor to pull out weeds. “And I’m passionate about that ,” he says.
