Star Academy’s favorite character who returns to action this evening, Michaël Goldman lied about his dad for a long time. This is what his sister Caroline revealed during an interview with our colleagues from “Télé-Loisirs”. A lie that remained secret for many years.
At school, the teachers always asked our parents’ profession at the start of the year. If most of the children scrupulously took care to proudly explain the profession of their fathers and mothers, others lied like the children of Jean-Jacques Goldman. While you would think they would have been extremely happy to tell everyone that their father was a big celebrity, they instead did everything they could to hide his identity.
Interviewed by Télé-Loisirs journalists, Caroline Goldman (47) said that they had lied throughout their schooling to protect their dad (but also perhaps to preserve their peace at school). Caroline, Michaël Goldman (44 years old) and Nina Goldman (39 years old) have always pretended that their dad was a plumber!
“This dimension never had the slightest place in our family values. It had no importance for our parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts and therefore never really had an impact (positive or negative) on us, children. It has always remained a kind of ‘external data’ a bit like the weather”, she revealed.

The psychologist also did not hesitate to defend her dad more recently when she had received a round of criticism after having expressed a negative opinion on so-called positive education (which advises against raising your voice in front of your child). “What she wants is to return to educational violence. Violence that she undoubtedly experienced when she was young,” assured a speaker to Le Parisien. Caroline then did not hesitate to bare her claws and affirmed that her father was anything but a tyrant.
As a reminder, Jean-Jacques Goldman had three children with his first wife Catherine Morlet: Caroline (1975), Michaël (1979) and Nina (1985). He then remarried Nathalie Thu Huong-Lagier with whom he had three daughters: Maya (2004), Kimi (2005) and Rose (2007). The couple has been living in Marseille since the beginning of 2021.
