With this guide, you’ll learn how to make these irresistible cookies that are perfect for any occasion—no matter the season!

Ingredients:

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ cup milk
1 ½ cups holiday-themed sprinkles or colored sugar (optional)
Instructions:

Prepare the Dough: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Set aside.

Cream the Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. This should take about 3-4 minutes with a hand mixer or stand mixer.

Add the Wet Ingredients: Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and continue to beat until smooth and combined.

Combine the Dry and Wet Ingredients: Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until the dough comes together. If the dough feels too sticky, add a little more flour until it’s easier to handle.
