Ingredients:

2 large chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
12 oz penne or fettuccine pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth (low-sodium)
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes (optional)
Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
1 tablespoon butter (optional, for extra richness)
Instructions:

Cook the Pasta: Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water. Once boiling, add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions, usually 8-10 minutes. Drain, reserving about 1 cup of pasta water for later.

Cook the Chicken: While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and half of the Italian seasoning. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside to rest for a few minutes. Slice the chicken into strips or bite-sized pieces.

Prepare the Creamy Sauce: In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil or butter, if needed, and sauté the chopped onion until soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute, until fragrant.
