Introduction:
Crispy fried potatoes are a classic favorite that perfectly complement any meal. With a golden, crunchy exterior and tender inside, they make an irresistible side dish that’s easy to prepare and loved by all ages. Whether you’re serving them alongside grilled meats, burgers, or a fresh salad, these potatoes will add a delightful crunch and flavor boost to your plate.
Ingredients:
4 large potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold work best)
3 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
Fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Peel the potatoes and cut them into evenly sized cubes or wedges.
Rinse the cut potatoes under cold water to remove excess starch. Pat dry thoroughly with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat until it reaches about 350°F (175°C).
Carefully add the potatoes in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry them until golden brown and crispy, about 6-8 minutes per batch. Stir occasionally to cook evenly.
Use a slotted spoon to remove the potatoes and drain on paper towels.
