Introduction:
There’s nothing quite like a glass of fresh, homemade juice to start your day on the right note. The combination of crisp apples and vibrant carrots creates a sweet and refreshing drink packed with nutrients. This apple and carrot juice is not only delicious but also a powerhouse of vitamins and antioxidants that can help boost your immune system, improve your skin health, and keep you feeling energized throughout the day. Best of all, it’s easy to make at home with just a few simple ingredients!
Ingredients:
2 medium-sized apples (Granny Smith, Fuji, or Honeycrisp are great options)
3 large carrots
1/2 lemon (optional, for a zesty kick)
1-2 teaspoons honey or agave syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
1 cup cold water (or more for desired consistency)
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients: Wash the apples and carrots thoroughly. Peel the carrots if desired (though the skin can be left on for extra nutrients). Core and slice the apples, removing the seeds. If you’re using lemon, cut it in half and remove the seeds.
Juicing: If you’re using a juicer, simply feed the apples, carrots, and lemon into the juicer, alternating between the fruits and vegetables for the best extraction. Collect the juice in a jug or glass. If you don’t have a juicer, you can blend the ingredients in a high-speed blender with a bit of water, then strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the pulp.
Sweeten (Optional): Taste the juice and add honey or agave syrup if you’d like it sweeter. Stir well to combine.
Serve: Pour the freshly made juice into glasses and serve immediately for the best flavor and nutritional benefits. You can garnish with a slice of apple or a small sprig of mint for an added touch of freshness.
