Homemade Beetroot Lip Balm Recipe

To strain the puree and get the juice, use a cheesecloth or fine-mesh screen. Press the mixture down into a small basin. Just a teaspoon or two of beetroot juice will do.
Put the Beeswax Pellets, Coconut Oil, and Shea or Cocoa Butter in a Heat-Safe Bowl to Melt.
Set the bowl over a double boiler, or make one by setting it over a saucepan of gently heating water.
Once all the ingredients have melted and blended into a smooth consistency, stir periodically.
Remove the bowl from the heat after the oils and wax have melted, and then add the beetroot juice.
If you want a more pink or crimson hue, add a few drops of fresh beetroot juice at a time while stirring slowly. The balm’s natural hue will be imparted by beetroot juice.
If desired, include vitamin E oil:
To provide nourishment and extend the balm’s shelf life, stir in the vitamin E oil.
Transfer to Tins or Other Small Containers for Lip Balm: Pour the mixture into these before it starts to congeal.
After one or two hours, the balm should have cooled down and solidified.
Put your beetroot lip balm somewhere cold and dry to keep it fresh. Use it within three to six months since the fresh beetroot juice could shorten its shelf life.
Some pointers:
Before applying beetroot juice on your lips, test a little bit to see whether it irritates.
Adding a little extra beetroot juice can give you a darker shade, but be careful not to add too much or the balm may split.
