Kidnapping alert in Seine-Maritime: the lifeless body of Célya, 6 years old, was found

Sad outcome in the context of Célya’s disappearance. The six-year-old girl, who disappeared from her home in Saint-Martin-de-l’If in Seine-Maritime on Friday evening, was found lifeless. The kidnapping alert system has been lifted.

The lifeless body of Célya, a six-year-old girl who disappeared Friday evening shortly before 6 p.m. in Seine-Maritime, was found, the Ministry of Justice said this Saturday. “The lifeless body of Célya was found. By decision of the Rouen public prosecutor’s office, the kidnapping alert was ended,” the ministry declared on its X account. More than a hundred gendarmes were mobilized after triggering the kidnapping alert device.

A sad ending for Célya
Frédéric Teillet, the public prosecutor of Rouen, for his part specified in a press release that “a little after 10 p.m., a local resident informed by the kidnapping alert made it possible to locate the vehicle of the alleged kidnapper. The gendarmes’ research then led to the discovery of the child’s lifeless body, in a wood near the vehicle.
