THE PREFECTURE EXPLAINS THE FACTS
“While a wedding ceremony was taking place at the town hall of Cléry-Saint-André, a car hit people present near the town hall for this ceremony,” explains the prefecture in a press release. “According to a first provisional assessment, there are three people in absolute emergency and five people in relative emergency,” details the same source, adding that the latter were evacuated to the hospital.
MOBILIZED FIREFIGHTERS AND GENDARMES
A medico-psychological emergency unit was set up in the Cléry-Saint-André community hall, to accommodate the people present at the time of the accident, numbering 75, even if they were not injured. . Nearly 70 firefighters were mobilized as well as 3 SMUR teams including a helicopter. 25 gendarmes were also on site, accompanied by approved civil security associations.
