Introduction:
Bad breath, or halitosis, is often caused by bacteria in the mouth, particularly on the tongue and between teeth. This natural, easy-to-make mouthwash helps neutralize odor, reduce bacteria, and leave your breath fresh using ingredients you probably already have at home.
Ingredients:
1 cup warm water
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (or apple cider vinegar)
1 drop of peppermint or tea tree essential oil (optional)
½ teaspoon salt (for added antibacterial action)
Instructions:
In a clean glass jar or bottle, combine the warm water and baking soda.
Stir until the baking soda dissolves completely.
Add lemon juice (or vinegar), salt, and essential oil (if using).
Mix well and store with a lid.
Before each use, shake the mixture and swish 1–2 tablespoons in your mouth for 30–60 seconds. Spit out and do not swallow.
