Introduction:
Let’s be honest — glass stovetops look sleek but are a pain to keep clean. I’ve spent nine long years dreading the chore, dreaming of the day I can swap it for a gas range in a chef’s kitchen. But in the meantime, I’ve perfected a fast and effective method to make that stovetop shine like new — no harsh scrubbing, no expensive cleaners. This is the cleaning routine I actually stick to, and it only takes a few minutes!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup baking soda
1/4 cup white vinegar
1 tablespoon dish soap (preferably grease-cutting)
Warm water
Microfiber cloths or soft rags
A spray bottle (optional)
Razor blade scraper (optional, for stubborn spots)
Instructions:
Cool Down: Make sure your stovetop is completely cool before starting.
Initial Wipe: Use a damp microfiber cloth to remove loose crumbs and light grease.
Make a Paste: Mix baking soda with a bit of warm water to create a thick paste. Spread this over any stained or greasy areas.
Spray Vinegar: Fill a spray bottle with white vinegar and lightly mist over the paste. It will fizz — that’s a good thing!
Let It Sit: Allow the mixture to sit for 10–15 minutes to loosen grime.
