Celine Dion has made her big comeback and will honor her presence at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The world-renowned singer has enchanted her fans for decades. Unfortunately, her career had been put on hold by a rare disease, stiff-man syndrome. In 2016, she collaborated with Vianney on a song called “Ma force”. The young singer, delighted to have the opportunity to write for this icon, did not hesitate to share his frank opinion on her.

An invisible illness causes spasms, and prevents the singer from going on stage. However, the artist continues to give news of herself, to the great delight of her audience. And with her peers, Céline Dion continues to collaborate. For our colleagues at Charts in France, the judge of The Voice, had revealed the behind the scenes of his collaboration with Céline Dion. “I was asked to write, because she was looking for songs. I had never really written for someone I don’t know at all. I think they gave me a theme, I don’t remember which one, but I didn’t respect the theme. I didn’t care, I wanted to focus on who she is and see if it inspired me.”

In order to write a text that resembled Celine Dion as much as possible, Vianney immersed himself in her life. “There is a dimension that touched me about her: ultimately, as an international star as she is, her status as a woman who is trying to have a child and who struggles… You can be the biggest star, if you can’t have a child, it’s a suffering. I wanted to write about this strength that she has, to lead several battles at the same time. It was this thing that touched me…”, he confided.

“She still has zero filters on her private life”

And the young singer was able to chat at length with the international star.  “We were talking about celebrity status… Celine, she still has zero filters on her private life so ultimately, it’s very easy to put yourself in her shoes. Without knowing her, I can know pretty much everything about her. So it wasn’t that complicated thanks to her private life which is public.”  For  20 Minutes,  Vianney returned to his meeting with Celine Dion. ”  It was great, spending time with her, it’s an immense joy. So I would say Celine like that, but I don’t know what else to say.”  Lovely confidences about the singer who is still fighting her illness and hopes to be able to go back on stage one day.
