Ingredients:
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 cup unsalted butter (softened)

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup finely chopped walnuts or hazelnuts

1/3 cup honey

Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Directions:
Prepare the dough:

In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and sugar. Add the softened butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add the egg, vanilla extract, and lemon zest. Stir the mixture until it comes together into a soft dough. If needed, add a tablespoon of cold water at a time to achieve the right consistency.

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to firm up.

Make the nut filling:

While the dough chills, toast the chopped walnuts or hazelnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes, until they become aromatic. Remove from heat and let them cool.

In a bowl, combine the toasted nuts with honey and stir to create a thick, sticky filling.
