Whether you’re hosting a large gathering or just enjoying a cozy dinner, this dish is sure to leave everyone asking for seconds—and the recipe. Here’s how you can recreate this crowd-pleaser in your own kitchen.
Ingredients:
2 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs for extra flavor)
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups of chicken broth
1 cup of heavy cream
1 teaspoon of thyme (fresh or dried)
1 teaspoon of rosemary
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup of frozen peas
1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup of cooked egg noodles (or any pasta of your choice)
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken:
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside to rest. Once cooled, shred the chicken using two forks.
Cook the Aromatics:
In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté for about 3 minutes, or until softened and fragrant. This will allow the flavors to build up from the leftover chicken bits in the skillet.
Make the Sauce:
Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Add the thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer, allowing it to thicken slightly for about 5-7 minutes.
